Our Research Projects

We are assembling a dedicated team to develop more comprehensive and in-depth content for the Iran Prosperity Project, focused on shaping Iran’s future in a post–Islamic Republic era.

Aligned with the broader vision supported by H.R.H. Reza Pahlavi and associated pro-democracy frameworks, this initiative aims to contribute to a structured pathway toward a modern, stable, and prosperous Iran following the regime’s collapse.

01 - Iran Prosperity Project

In this project, we undertake a comprehensive and structured assessment of the two primary models of governance: monarchy and republic.

This includes analysing global case studies across Europe, Asia, and other regions, examining how each system operates in practice, and evaluating their respective strengths and limitations.

Through this comparative analysis, the project aims to identify the most suitable system, or hybrid model, for Iran’s future.

The ultimate objective is to move beyond ideology and base the recommendation on evidence, global experience, and what will best ensure long-term stability, prosperity, and democratic legitimacy for Iran.

02 - Monarchy vs Republic

This research project examines one of the most critical challenges in nation-building: how to design and sustain a system of governance that prevents the concentration of power and protects society from authoritarian rule. Drawing on historical experiences and contemporary case studies, the project explores how democracies have succeeded or failed, in safeguarding institutions against the rise of dictatorship. It focuses on the structural, legal, and cultural foundations required to ensure that no individual or group can dominate the state unchecked.

The study analyses key mechanisms such as separation of powers, judicial independence, free and fair elections, protection of civil liberties, and the role of a free press and active civil society. It also evaluates constitutional design, term limits, decentralisation of power, and the importance of transparent and accountable governance.

03 - How to avoid dictatorship

This research project addresses a central tension in modern democracies: how to counter the spread of radical and extremist ideologies without undermining the fundamental right to freedom of expression. It recognises that open societies must remain resilient against harmful narratives that promote violence, division, or the erosion of democratic values—while avoiding overreach that could suppress legitimate debate, dissent, and political pluralism.

The study examines global approaches to this challenge, including legal frameworks, online platform governance, education systems, and community-based interventions. It explores where to draw clear boundaries, such as incitement to violence, terrorism support, and coordinated disinformation, while protecting lawful speech and individual rights. By analysing successful models and past failures, the project aims to define a balanced, enforceable strategy that strengthens social cohesion, protects civil liberties, and prevents the normalisation of extremism without compromising the core principles of a free society.

04 - How to Stop Radical Ideologies

This research project offers a concise and objective overview of Iran’s modern history, examining the periods before, during, and after the Pahlavi era. It begins with the late Qajar period and the Constitutional Revolution, then explores the rise of Reza Shah Pahlavi and the modernisation efforts under the Pahlavi dynasty, followed by the 1979 revolution and the establishment of the Islamic Regime under Ruhollah Khomeini.

By comparing these key phases, the project highlights major political, social, and economic shifts, aiming to provide clear insights into Iran’s development and the lessons that can inform its future.

05 - Iran Modern History

This project focuses on building a curated and authoritative collection of books that capture the depth, diversity, and richness of Iran’s history and cultural heritage. It brings together key works spanning ancient Persia, Islamic periods, modern history, literature, poetry, and contemporary social narratives—offering a comprehensive knowledge base for researchers, students, and the wider community.

By combining historical scholarship with cultural and literary perspectives, the project aims to preserve authentic narratives, promote deeper understanding, and provide a reliable reference point for anyone seeking to explore Iran beyond simplified or one-dimensional portrayals.

PROJECTS

Lion and Sun Forest.png

Lion & Sun Forest and Memorial Site

This project is a large-scale environmental and cultural initiative aimed at planting 40,000 trees as a living tribute to the ideals represented by the Lion and Sun movement. The Lion and Sun has long symbolised Iran’s identity, unity, and historical continuity, with roots stretching back centuries across Persian civilisation . By linking this symbol to a national tree-planting effort, the project transforms memory into a lasting, visible, and life-giving legacy.

Beyond environmental impact, the initiative includes the development of a dedicated memorial site—a space for reflection, education, and cultural connection. The site will honour the resilience, sacrifices, and aspirations associated with the movement, while also serving as a place for future generations to engage with Iran’s history and values. Combining sustainability with national remembrance, this project aims to create a powerful symbol of renewal, growth, and hope for Iran’s future.

Cyrus Community Centre.png

Cyrus Community Centre (CCC)

The Cyrus Community Centre (CCC) is envisioned as a vibrant and inclusive hub for the Iranian diaspora—a place where community, culture, and connection come together. Inspired by the legacy of Cyrus the Great, the centre aims to reflect values of tolerance, unity, and cultural pride while providing a welcoming space for all generations.

CCC will host a wide range of activities, including cultural events, educational programs, language classes, workshops, and community celebrations. It will serve as a platform to preserve and promote Iranian heritage, support integration, and strengthen social connections within the diaspora. By combining tradition with modern community needs, the centre aspires to become a cornerstone for cultural exchange, learning, and belonging.
